I understand that I am getting a puppy and that no matter how well prepared and trained my puppy is, it is still a baby and I should expect my puppy to have accidents in the house and crate, to cry and bark, to nip and bite, and to require a great deal of patience and attention. I understand that these are NORMAL puppy behaviors and that I expect them to happen.
I understand that dogs have grooming requirements and will perform said grooming in accordance to the Australian Shepherd breed.
I understand that while the breeder provides Puppy Training that I need to learn how to train and maintain my dog's training and that may require the assistance of a dog trainer or behaviorist.
I understand that puppies have delicate digestive systems and that changing the food my puppy goes home eating can cause severe gastric distress. I agree to use the same dog food my breeder sends my puppy home on and if I choose to change food brands, will gradually do so.
I understand that while AussieLand Shepherds screens their breeding dogs for hip/elbow health, canine hip/elbow dysplasia is multi-factorial and that it is equally important that I maintain my dog/puppy at an ideal weight, provide quality nutrition, don't over exercise my puppy, and provide a safe environment to do my part in maintaining my puppy's joint health.
I agree I must be able to pick up my puppy up at the discussed pickup time/location as AussieLand Shepherds does not offer shipping or delivery and will be charged $25 for every day the puppy stays with the breeder after pickup time.
I agree that my puppy is not to be bred and is required to be spayed/neutered (unless stated in the puppy agreement I sign), and I am subject to significant fines and other damages if not spayed/neutered and/or bred.
I understand that each puppy requires a non-refundable deposit of $300 upon choosing an available puppy. (Deposits are transferable if timing/coloration/gender is no longer preferable though.)
I understand that the breeder has the right to select puppy or puppies from any litter and may have to wait for the next litter for any preferred coloration/gender.
I agree that the breeder reserves the right to not offer a given puppy to a family if she believes that the puppy would not be suitable for that family for whatever reason.
I understand that each puppy comes with a one year health guarantee. This guarantee covers serious, life-altering genetic/congenital conditions (like severe hip/elbow dysplasia or heart/eye disorders) diagnosed within a year by a licensed vet and excludes common issues like parasites, colds, hypoglycemia, or injuries. Requires owner compliance (vet visits, proper care, no over-vaccination) to remain valid. Offer includes replacement or partial refund.
I understand that if I am no longer able to care for my puppy/dog, at any time, I will contact the breeder, AussieLand Shepherds, and surrender the puppy/dog.
